Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been involved in the world of film and television. She started acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent, and television series. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she appeared in her first performance with The Tempest as Ariel. She has performed on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry she is most famous for parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In the world of television, her character in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
