Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in the sports of combat. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd then went on to win three fights consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated had been defeated in the first minute. Ladd took home the night's main event fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in an intense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd in just 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a match that was a replacement for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was a unanimous decision.
