Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American singer-actress and former model. Her most well-known role was co-starring in the film of Prince's Purple Rain and for having been the lead singer of the group of girls Apollonia 6. The actor and singer named Apollonia by Prince became one of the many female musicians in the '80s that benefited from her connection with the Purple One. She was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her work started as a model and actress towards the end of the 1970s with a role in the television series CHiPS. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first role from 1984. Prince changed the girl's name in this period. She was replaced by Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 who performed in the film as Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. The singer made a bigger influence on the charts by being Prince's partner in Take Me with You, a duet from his soundtrack. Kotero as well as Prince have a disagreement over her future career. Apollonia6 split, Kotero did not remain in her relationship with Prince.
