Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole daughter from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a worker in a factory. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically gifted as a child and began in second grade at the age of five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone take home Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move in New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to pursue a modeling career after signing with the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. While in Europe Stone lived for a year living in Milano as well as Paris. In the end, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene and modeling in Europe she decided to pursue acting while in the country. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success at the age of 20.
