Stevie WonderStevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13, 1950) also known as Stevie Wonder is an American singer-songwriter from the United States. It is said that he is recognized as the first to pioneer a wide range of genres, including blues and rhythm jazz, gospel, soul gospel, and funk. Wonder, who was a solo artist that used synthesizers for the creation of electronic music in the 1970s. This changed the R&B genre. Wonder also helped in the rise of genres like R&B during the album era. His albums were cohesive and consistent and socially conscious declarations that had complex music. Wonder, who was blind at the time of his birth, signed with Motown's Tamla label when he was just 11. In the Tamla label, he was awarded the name of a professional artist, Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's famed critical success was at its highest in the 1970s. His "classic" period started in 1972, with Music of My Mind and Talking Book. The latter included "Superstition" The most iconic and well-known example of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard sound. The album won the Grammy Award as Album of the year for Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingnessthe First Finale (1974) as well as Songs in the Key of Life ( 1976). This makes him the holder of the tie record of the most Album of the year wins , with three. He is also the only artist to have won the award for three consecutive albums. Wonder was a "commercial artist" when he began to have his greatest hits in the early 1980s. The popularity of his music grew due to the increase in album sales, involvement in charities and notable collaborations.
